Working on the new Bat Garrett novel and, while it’s going well, I realized it was missing something. It dawned on me that I had Bat too mature. This is, after all, set during his early days. He should be much more flippant.

All my works need re-writes, so I’m sure on the re-write I’ll put some of that ‘tude back in. The problem with re-writes, though, is that sometimes I see what needs to be changed or added, but I really like the flow of the original words. Sometimes I can make the changes and it serves the story, but I miss the original wording. It’s fiction, but I also look at those original words as “the way it really was”.

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
I have bookmarked, Dugg, and I joined the RSS subscription. Thanks! ….
