The new Bat Garrett novel is coming along swimmingly. I’m about to that point where I have always abandoned it before.

What’s different this time is that a side character who had never been here before suddenly wheedled her way in. It’s strange how that happens. There I was, writing the story, when someone walked into the story who had never been there before. And it was right. She was what the story had always been missing.

I’m also almost finished with book 5 of “Burt & the ILS”, the on-line comic book I do for destinyhelix.com. After I finish book 5, I intend to take a break from the comic book line for a while. I’ll still be doing “Tuttle’s” (see it at tuttles.net or in a handful of newspapers) and working on my novels, but the comic book takes a whole different mentality and I find it rather draining.

Oh, and let’s not forget the weekly (weakly) column for the highplainsobserver.com. I better get off this blog and start writing that. I almost forgot.
