The new Bat Garrett novel, “The Return of the Nice Guy” will be hitting the shelves (the Kindle shelves) on June 1! You can read more about it in the “Library/Store”.
This one was a lot of fun to write (not that they all aren’t) because a] it was a story I had been tossing around in my head for years and, 2] it was fun to revisit these characters again.
I wrote it last summer, read it to my family as I did so, then did some clean up on is this past winter. Like I say: the story had been in my head for a long time, but every time I would try to write it I would stall out. Last summer, I was determined to get it all down. Not sure what changed, other than my own attitude. I have always written best when avoiding work so I think I was able to write this one because I was avoiding writing on the third Edward & Marianne book. Now, I’m avoiding writing that book by writing the new Garison Fitch book. (The problem is, though, the 4th Fitch book needs the 3rd E&M book to make sense. So it may be a while before you find out what happened to Edward. I know, I just have to write it down.)
Anyway, read the new Bat Garrett book and let me know what you think. (Psst: it should be available on Nook, too. Not sure how soon. Their interface is not nearly as easy to use as Amazon’s.)
