Just finished the first draft of the next Garison Fitch novel! I may have to stop calling it that, though, because one of the other characters just kept shoving to the fore. But I’m not ready to say, “This is the new _________ ________ novel!” yet.
I will tell you this: the novel is about time travel. It wound up being so wildly different from what I had originally pictured in my mind that that other novel may still be on the horizon. I love this one, though! So many twists and turns and, I think, well-developed characters, that you’ll probably read it in a day even though it is (so far) 89,002 words long.
I think word counts are silly and tell us absolutely nothing about a book, but now I am kind of tempted to go back through and take out 2 words somewhere.
